Fabulous (And Fast) Fudge

Delightful Desserts!

3 cups semisweet (or milk) chocolate chips – can also do a combo of both kinds of chocolate if you want a less dark fudge.
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (or non-dairy)
1/4 cup butter (can substitute margarine if going non-dairy)
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Place chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter (or margarine) in a heavy bottomed saucepan and on medium heat cook the mixture until chips are melted - Stirring occasionally during cooking. Make sure your mixture does not burn! To guarantee this, you can use a double boiler method to melt the chocolate and incorporate the other ingredients.

Once ingredients are fully combined, remove from heat, let cool for a minute and stir in vanilla and the nuts, if desired.

Line an 8x8-inch glass baking dish with aluminum foil and grease the foil (leave extra foil on both sides of the dish for easy removal once the fudge has cooled). Pour in the chocolate mixture and refrigerate until set.

Once the fudge has fully set, take it out of the dish with the foil “handles” and then cut into 1-inch pieces – Can store in an airtight container for up to a week.
